Child Care for Homeless Families

Reading to a young child who doesn't own a book. Dancing with a preschooler who rarely hears music. These are some of the ways you can help when you volunteer at Morningsong.

Morningsong is located in central Seattle and provides licensed childcare for homeless families. Each day children come to our classrooms for language development, educational curriculum, nutritious meals, and music and movement. Volunteers assist teachers in the classroom and help with special projects.

Morningsong does not accept volunteers with court-ordered community service hours. All volunteers must pass a criminal history background check. If you have not been a resident of Washington state for the past three years you must also be fingerprinted at your own expense. These procedures are for the safety of our children.
